VR34 - Use of Warning Beacons and Lights

Description

This online course is for any vehicle recovery operator who wants to understand emergency beacon use including the use of rear facing red flashing lamps when working roadside or carrying out removal procedures on vehicles. Rear facing red lamps are not to be viewed as the primary warning light for recovery technicians but as an addition when the hazards for a recovery technician are increased.  This course explains, when and where emergency beacon use including red lamps use is permitted.

It should be noted that only those companies that hold a Vehicle Special Order (VSO) from the Department for Transport (DfT) can use rear-facing red flashing lamps.
